5 Tips for Taking Better Dog Photos

Iowa-based photographer Rachel Ritland’s JaderBug Photography specializes in photos of dogs and horses, and Ritland recently posted an excellent series of images that explains how to get the best pictures of your dog. What I like about these tips is that they explain some basic rules of photography that can come in useful in many situations where you want your compoistion to produce the best image. I know that I struggle with pictures of my dog, Pedey, so I plan to put these tips to work immediately!

It’s also a good idea to fill the frame when you’re doing a portrait.
