On the Mother Nature Network, author Jaymi Heimbuch offers a list of books that will help you gain a better understanding of your dogs and help you with your training. The books deal with how dogs experience the world, through their senses, their instincts, and their modes of communication.

Among the books in the list are “Inside of a Dog: What Dogs See, Smell, and Know” by Alexandra Horowitz, “The Other End of the Leash: Why We Do What We Do Around Dogs” by Patricia B. McConnell, and “Bones Would Rain from the Sky: Deepening Our Relationships with Dogs” by Suzanne Clothier.

After reading Heimbuch’s list, are there any titles you would add?
