We’ve been making a big stink lately about the possible dangers posed by Chinese-made dog treats, but last Friday the FDA announced that Denver-based Kasel Associated Industries has issued a voluntary recall of its BOOTS & BARKLEY American Beef Bully Sticks dog treats because of potential salmonella contamination:
he recalled bully stick treats were distributed nationwide through Target retail stores from April through September 2012.The bully treats are packaged in a clear, plastic bag which contains six sticks. The bags are marked with the bar code number 647263899189.
Kasel Industries is recalling all lot numbers because the following lot codes tested positive through analysis by the State of Colorado Department of Agriculture: BESTBY20APR2014DEN, BESTBY01JUN2014DEN, BESTBY23JUN2014DEN, and BESTBY23SEP2014DEN.
