After finding a malnourished dog tied to a chain in Afghanistan, U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Nick B. traded cigarettes for the animal, so he could rescue it from a life of misery. Now, through efforts of The Puppy Rescue Mission, the Afghan herding dog, now named Bodhi, and Sergeant Nick have been reunited in Florida. It was a long, difficult journey for Bodhi, but Nick did everything he could to ensure the dog made it to the U.S. Now Bodhi can live a life of ease, with a big yard, a pool to swim in, and owners who love him.
