No pictures of the hero black Lab have come on-line yet, but I suspect we’ll be
hearing a lot more about the remarkable dog.

The details are still emerging about an incredible rescue in Marcellus, Michigan, yesterday. Patricia Drauch had gone into her garage to get a shovel, and after a few minutes, she realized that her 14-month-old son, Stanley, was no longer with her. She went looking for him and, in every parent’s nightmare, found him in the pool, face up and blue. A news release from the Cass County Sheriff about the incident reveals the absolutely mind-blowing part of the story:

She also indicted that the family’s dog, a black lab, was in the pool underneath the infant holding the child up out of the water on the dog’s back at the time that she saw the child.

Read that again, picture it, and think about the remarkable ingenuity, bravery, and strength of that dog. It was literally holding the child out of the water!

Drauch couldn’t get a signal on her cell phone, so she put unconscious Stanley in the car and headed for the nearest fire station. The boy regained consciousness in the car, was found to be in good condition once he arrived at the fire station, and was treated and released at a local health clinic.

I can’t wait to hear more about this remarkable dog.

  2. Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a thirty foot drop,
just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and
she has 83 views. I know this is completely
off topic but I had to share it with someone!
