The journey from movie star to has-been can be precipitous. (Just ask Cory Feldman.)  Now Berry, the German shepherd who starred as Padfoot–the animal form of Gary Oldman’s character, Sirius Black–in Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban is homeless. His former owner, stuntman Paul Thompson, recently turned Berry and his pal Porridge over to the UK German Shepherd Dog Rescue,  an organization “dedicated to the rescue, short term fostering and long-term re-homing of German Shepherd Dogs.” According to news reports, Thompson found himself traveling too much for work and unable to care for the two dogs, who were raised together from puppyhood. For more information, visit Berry’s page one the GSDR site.
