Here’s the wonderful story of a rescued dog, aptly named “Hope,” who has been nursed back to health by a team of dog loversfrom street rescuers, to foster parents, to veterinarians, to canine pain-management specialists. It’s astonishing to know that Jo Ann Ellis has been fostering dogs for a quarter century, which deserves a standing ovation. We post all the time about dogs who work wonders to help people, so it’s great to also see a whole community rally around one dog. That Hope has responded so positively throughout the process goes to show how deep the bonds between people and dogs really are.
