This is a remarkable story from the Land Down Under: Wayne Best was hunting wild pigs with his dog, Choco, in the bush of Australia’s Cape York when a large saltwater crocodile attacked:
βIt went for the dog and just got him by the arse end, picked him up and just shook him and then went under water,ββ Mr Best said.
Incredibly, Choco came back up to the surface, where Best could grab him and bring him to safety. The problem was that they were more than 60 miles from the nearest veterinary hospital, and Best had no vehicle. How he managed to get Choco the care he needed is a tale of loyalty and determination. . .
