The folks who want the Beagle to be named Vermont’s state dog must have been excited to see which pup took top honors yesterday at the 2015 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. A four-year-old Beagle from British Columbia named Miss P was named Best in Show by judge David Merriam, marking just the second time the breed had won. It turns out that Miss P’s win was no fluke, however, as she is the grand-niece of the previous Beagle champion Uno, who won in 2008.
