This is an incredible story of a King Shepherd named Sako, who refused to abandon the lone survivor of a terrible truck accident in the British Columbia wilderness. Not only did the dog keep Joe Phillips-Garcia warm, as the 16-year-old boy lay horribly injured for 40 hours, but Sako also fought off a pack of hungry coyotes. It’s for this reason that Sako is being inducted into Canada’s Purina Animal Hall of Fame.
