We’ve posted before about service dogs who help people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, but this video is unique in that we get to see the dog actually perform his duties in the middle of an interview. As Erick Scott starts to describe his struggles with the Veterans Affairs (VA) doctors, Gumbo recognizes an increased level of anxiety and goes into action. He reacts before Scott even realizes that something might be wrong. The combination of incredible senses and boundless compassion makes dogs perfect for these roles. Way to go, Gumbo.
