On Wednesday, a sweet 7-year-old female Jack Russell terrier turned up at a shelter in Oregon. There’s nothing too unusual about that, but when she was scanned for a microchip, shelter workers discovered that the dog’s owner lives in a Philadelphia suburb. It turns out that Gidget disappeared on April 22, and no one has any idea how she made it to the West Coast.
Her owner could not afford to come out and get the dog or pay for her transportation, but click the link below to find out about the Good Samaritans who stepped up to pay for the dog’s care and travel.
