Here’s a heartwarming story about a woman who came in contact with a street dog in a foreign land, and he never forgot her kindness. Olivia Sievers, a flight attendant from Germany, had traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, for work, and she met a stray dog outside her hotel. She patted him a bit and gave him some food, but then thought nothing of the encounter. But the dog remembered. . . .

It seemed he had fallen in love, and made himself at home outside the entrance of the hotel. So she called him Rubio, and put an airline blanket outside to him a little warmer at night. When Olivia returned home, she didn’t believe she’d see Rubio again. However, she was shocked to find him waiting right where she’d left him the next time she was in Buenos Aires.

When Sievers arrived at the hotel on her next trip, there was the dog, seemingly waiting for her. So she did the only thing she could do: she adopted Rubio and brought him back to Germany.

  1. Human kindness is magnified in the eyes and hearts of most animals, but most particularly do! Thanks so much for understanding that and responding in kind! I am sure you will never regret that decision!

  2. That is a wonderful story I of kindness. I love that she recognized the attachment this dog had for her. Bless her soul

  3. Having flown for many years and now retired I surely understand …..many a time I have saved a dog, gotten cats spayed and neutered and even brought some home. Thankyou for helping this dog. I lament the treatment of animals around the world and even in the USA. Only kindness matters. Gail
