Heroic and Sad: A Dog Refuses to Leave Fallen Friend, Despite Danger and Freezing Temperatures


A stray dog in China refused to leave the body of his fallen friend throughout a freezing night.

We have seen this kind of bravery and devotion before, but each instance is a reminder of their incredible capacity for loyalty and the strength of their emotional attachments. When a stray dog was hit and killed by a car in Yinchuan, China, its best friend refused to leave it in the street alone. Instead, the dog lay next to the body all night, despite temperatures well below zero.

Even when local restaurant owners took the deceased dog and buried it at the base of a nearby tree, the loyal friend followed them as far as he could.

  1. This is horrible…residents ‘documented’ the loyalty but did nothing for either the dead or living dog? Not a heartwarming story about humans.
