Here’s a great story of everyday heroism and quick thinking. On September 19, Brittany Owens was working at a hot dog stand on Cleveland’s East Side, when an obviously disturbed man walked up to her. Owens could see that the man had something with fuzzy ears in a duffle bag that he was carrying, so she asked him about it.
“It’s a dog and I don’t like him I am going to kill this little dog by suffocating him,” the man replied.
Realizing that she was probably the only thing standing in the way of the dog’s demise, Owens made a split-second decision that changed both the dog’s life and her own. . .
