Here’s a wonderful story about a Texas organization called Huts for Mutts, whose goal is to provide shelter for dogs who spend much of their lives chained up. Founder Aliesha Medley drives around the Third Ward of Houston looking for pups who could use a shelter, and then she simply gives them one, free of charge.
