Here’s an incredible story of a little dog named Leia, who disappeared from her Texas home during a rainstorm. When animal rescuer Annmarie Anderson found the dog two years later in Denver, Colorado, Leia was still wearing her original tags with microchip and rabies. Annmarie called the number on the rabies tag and reached the animal shelter in El Paso, which matched the information to Leia’s owner, Alma Dominguez.
What happened next was pretty amazing. No one knows how Leia traveled so far, but it doesn’t matter to the Dominguez family. Warning: You might want a tissue handy for this one.
