By now, I assume that you’ve all seen the gorgeous Affenpinscher, Banana Joe, who took top honors at the 137th Westminster Kennel Club Show. Congratulations for Joe are certainly in order, but as a great story on Buzzfeed makes clear, winning isn’t everything.
Far from the championship ring, Bruno the Scottish Terrier, is bathed in lights for video cameras and surrounded by a horde of admirers. True, he has no chance of even winning his breed, but he’s getting more attention than a lot of actual champions in the building. The secret to Bruno’s success? His charming personality and a little bit of marketing genius. Bruno has his own website and legions of fans from far and wide. The logo for his website (see below) is just brilliant. My first dog as a child was a Scotty named Hilda, so I’ve always been a fan of the breed. Now I gotta figure out how to get one of those tee shirts.
