We have posted many times about Good Samaritans who release dogs from hot cars, sometimes even breaking a window to do so. But a mother and her son in Jacksonville, Florida, paid a high price for their compassion last weekend. Melanie May and Bradley Allen noticed a dog inside a truck on a hot day, and they claim that the pooch was foaming at the mouth:
“Somebody left their dog in 93 degree weather,” May said. “They had about an inch of air on either side with their windows down.”
After opening the door and letting the dog out, the pair went in search of its owner. But what they found turned out to be more than they bargained for. . .
