We are pleased and proud to announce that the Orvis Cover Dog Photo Contest has been selected as a finalist for the Cause Marketing Forum Halo Award in the category of Best Environmental or Animal Campaign. The Halo Award is North American cause marketing’s highest honor.
Each year, the partnership of a company and a non-profit in each of eight categories is recognized for their outstanding contribution with a Golden or Silver Halo. Orvis shares this honor with its esteemed partner, the Morris Animal Foundation. Winners will be announced at the Cause Marketing Forum Annual Conference in Chicago in May.
In 2009, Orvis launched its Cover Dog Contest as an engaging way to raise funds to fight canine cancer. We never dreamed what an incredible success it would turn out to be! Working in cooperation with the Morris Animal Foundation, Orvis and our customers have raised over $1 million dollars to fund research into finding a cure for a disease that impacts far too many of our best friends.
Everyone at Orvis is humbled and gratified by the remarkable generosity and enthusiasm of our customers. The video above is our celebration of the dogs and people who have made this success possible. Because in our book, every dog is a Million Dollar Dog!
