Sheriff, a guy just looking for a friend

Sometimes all you need is someone you can count on.
Sheriff is an American Shelter Dog who was rescued from a neglectful situation by the good folks at Faithful Friends Animal Society in Wilmington, DE. That kind of a start in life can leave you pretty rattled! The staff at Faithful Friends decided it would be a good idea to let Sheriff get a little R&R for a while in a foster home with a quiet environment. In a situation where he was actually given attention, it was discovered that Sheriff had a seizure disorder. Talk about tough breaks!
Thanks to an Orvis Petfinder Customer Matching Grant, Sheriff was able to receive veterinary treatment that brought his seizures under control with medication. One problem down.
Shortly afterward, Sheriff met a man with some challenges of his own. Following a serious accident, he found himself dealing with limitations, and was looking for a loving, therapeutic companion to share his days. Right out of the gate, they seemed to understand each other. Each of them found the friend they were looking for. Sheriff was adopted, and now his name is Shay. A new name for a new happy life! Really and truly, faithful friends.

Best Buds!
