Today is the second National Mutt Day of 2015—the first was July 31—days each year dedicated to “embracing, saving and celebrating mixed breed dogs.” The special event was created in 2005 by Colleen Paige to raise awareness and to promote adoption. As the proud owner of a mixed-breed rescue dog named Pedey (you can read our story here), I’m glad that we can set aside a little time to celebrate what’s special about these dogs.
