Here’s a story that happened last spring, but which just hit the Web. When Carlos Mora received his Master’s of Science in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University on May 23, he did not walk up to the podium along. While Mora approached the stage, a message was read over the PA:

Our last counseling degree graduate to walk across the stage tonight is Carlos Mora and his service dog Kirsch. Since Kirsch sat through every class with Carlos, both will be receiving a masters degree in mental health counseling. We want everyone to know that Kirsch was not charged for his degree.

What a great way to honor the service that Kirsch provided throughout his program. The dog even received his own diploma!
