Here’s a heartbreaking story from Louisville, Kentucky that shows how there are no limits to a dog’s devotion. Two strays, Stella and Romeo, were wandering the streets, when Stella was struck by a car. Rather than leave his friend, Romeo stood over her to protect her from the traffic. Unfortunately, he got hit, as well. Only the bravery and kindness of a few good Samaritans kept the day from being a double tragedy.
Sadly, Stella did not survive her injuries, but Romeo was relatively unhurt, despite being hit. He is not healing in a foster home and will be available for adoption in the future.
