Last week, we ran our first hot-weather-related post, and here’s another important story out of Texas. Yesterday morning, while running with its owner, a dog collapsed from heat exhaustion. When EMTs arrived on the scene, the dog’s temperature was 108 degrees. He was rushed to a veterinary hospital, where he was expected to recover.
So let’s take a minute to thank the EMTs who took such wonderful care of the dog, but we should also drive home the point that dogs cannot cool themselves like we can. Pay attention to your dog’s actions when it’s hot out!
