Josy is an elderly and much beloved Shih Tzu. Her family wanted a portrait before losing her to old age.
Works by Laura Ellis
Laura Ellis, the artist behind Brush and Bone Portraits, is a real friend of the Orvis Dogs blog, often sending in links to great stories and videos. But as you can see here, she also has a wonderful eye for capturing a dog’s personality. Both portraits are in pencil on heavy paper.
