You may know Tracie Hotchner as Radio Pet Lady and the author of THE DOG BIBLE: Everything Your Dog Wants You to Know, but she is about to launch a new project: The New York Dog Film Festival:
It is what boosters claim is the first ever New York Dog Film Festival, and it will run for just one and a half days, with an opening gala on the Upper East Side and screenings at Symphony Space. Forty-one films are scheduled, with runtimes ranging from 1 minute to half an hour, and all are about canines. Titles include “Biscuit/Return to Sender,” about a rock-climbing Jack Russell, “Game of Bones,” from Australia, “Le Sauvetage,” about dogs bringing people together, and “998 Miles Home,” about volunteers transporting rescued dogs to the Northeast from the American South.
This looks like a remarkable event, and folks in the Northeast should check it out, if they can.
