Reader Allie Lopez-Cuadra sent us a link to this news report of an important story from South Florida. The Redland, an unincorporated, mostly agricultural area of Southwest Miami-Dade County has become a dumping ground for dogs. Despite the efforts of hundreds of volunteers, the problem continues to get worse, and some believe that local authorities are not doing enough. It’s a problem that needs more funding and more focus.
