“Unadoptable” Pit Bull Becomes Beloved, Gentle Family member

Hope’s story speaks to the way people look at shelter dogs. Though she seemed
fearsome in the shelter, she is a gentle soul at home.

Here’s a heartwarming story from Angels for Animals, a shelter in Canfield, Ohio. For two years, an unruly Pit Bull named Hope lived at the shelter, and no one would adopt her because she was big, unruly, and didn’t like other dogs. The staff at the shelter figured they needed some strong, single guy to take Hope, someone who could get her some training and be a guiding hand. But the person who finally fell in love with the beautiful dog was quite the opposite, and the frequent updates on Hope show how she has turned out to be a wonderful family dog.

This is a great example of how dogs can surprise us in the best ways.

Cuddled up on her owner at naptime, Hope hardly seems a troubled, difficult dog.
