Last Friday, we told you the story of Haus—a brave, two-year-old rescue dog—who jumped between a young girl and a deadly rattlesnake, sustaining three bites to his leg. As of last week, veterinarians were not sure that the German Shepherd would survive. Thankfully, things are looking up:

However, despite being in critical condition last Thursday evening, DeLuca tells TODAY that as of this morning, Haus is expected to make a full recovery. And his doctors are surprised.

“It’s semi-miraculous, his condition,” she said. “What keeps me going is how he still flicks his tail every time he sees me come in to his kennel, even though I know he’s hurting.

I’m sure that the DeLuca family can’t wait to get their beloved Haus back home to shower him with love.
