Last month, we posted a story about a heroic Maltipoo named Sophie who saved her little sister from a coyote attack, suffering nasty injuries in the process. At the time, Sophie was still being treated, so she wasn’t available for adoption. However, hundreds of offers to adopt the brave little dog flooded into Helen Woodward Animal Center in San Diego, where Sophie was recovering.
Yesterday was a great day for Sophie for two reasons: she served as the Grand Marshall of the HWAC’s annual Madri-Paws parade, and she met the family that will be part of her forever home. It’s hard to imagine a happier ending.
