Apparently, it’s “Amazing Recovery Day” on Orvis News, as here’s a second story of a beautiful dog who has come back from horrible suffering and the brink of death. When a young dog was found beaten and left for dead in western Washington State, she fought for her life, and the staff at the Whatcom Humane Society named her Hope.
Now, a year later, Hope is in a loving home with a family who adores her and a canine protector named Duke. Hope still has some limitations—she can’t chew and struggles with her reflexes, coordination and depth perception—but these don’t seem to affect her happiness.
This is a lovely story that shows how even an imperfect dog has a lot to offer a family who loves her.

Hope has lived up to her name.
