A couple years ago, we posted a lot about the story of Tarra and Bella, an Asian elephant and a dog who became best friends while living together at The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee. (See those posts here and here.)
In the great video above, you’ll learn about a similar pair, Bubbles and Bella. Bubbles is a 32-year-old African elephant whose parents were killed for their ivory back in 1981, whereupon she was brought to The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species (T.I.G.E.R.S) in South Carolina. She met Bella, a dog who had been abandoned on the 50-acre wildlife preserve, in 2007 and they have been best friends ever since. Their mutual love of water is apparent in this video.
