A depressed dog in Tennessee named George has got a new lease on life, thanks to an unlikely friend. After George’s best pal, a Lab named Blackie, passed away a couple years ago, George went into a tailspin, suffering from a variety of maladies. But suddenly, things have changed:
“Since the duck has showed up, he’s been fine,” Litton told WKOW in an interview. “He’s not wanted (back) in the house. He’s not whined. He’s not meeting you at the car, you know, looking sad. They’re totally different species and they found company and comfort in each other.”
Yes, George’s new buddy is a duck. The heart is a strange and wondrous thing. . . .
