On Tuesday, we posted about a daring rescue by California firefighters to save a dog swept away in a swollen river. The 911 call had come from a woman named Rachel Dalby who had seen the dog struggling:
“So I looked closer and was able to confirm that it was in fact the head of a small dog,” Dalby said. “Very nerve racking, just tracking his movements. I paced him with my car.”
Now, Ms. Dalby is taking things a step further by adopting the dog that she helped save.
