Video: Dog Saved from Chinese Festival Brought to U.S. for Adoption


“Little Ricky”—who was plucked from a Chinese slaughterhouse just days before he was to have been sent the meat market as part of an annual dog meat festival in Yulin, China—arrived in Washington, D.C., last Friday, where he will stay at the Washington Animal Rescue League shelter until he’s ready for adoption. The sweet little pup is sure to be a spokesdog for the movement to end cruelty to dogs at the annual festival.
