Here’s an amazing story of an unexpectedly heroic rescue by a dog who had shown no previous inclination. Dan Clark and his three-year-old Bernese mountain Dog, Nico, were walking on the beach in Ventura, California, on Thursday when a couple of swimmers got caught in a riptide called for help. Without hesitation, Nico jumped into the water and swam out to the distressed swimmers and helped them get back to the beach safely. Even Clark was stunned by the heroics of the dog whom he’d rescued just three months earlier. . .
