Video: Famed Football Coach Saves Dog from Hot Car, and Then Goes a Step Further
Barry Switzer rose to fame as the head coach of the powerhouse Oklahoma football teams of the 70s and 80s, and he coached the Dallas Cowboys from 1994 through 1997. Earlier this week, however, he became locally famous for rescuing a dog from a hot car outside a store in Oklahoma City, where he lives. But simply saving the dog from the sweltering car wasn’t enough for a real dog lover like Switzer; he wanted to make sure such a thing would never happen again. . .
