Video: Firefighters Rescue Dog from L.A. River


A dog now nicknamed “Lucky” was plucked from the swollen Los Angeles River on Friday in a dramatic helicopter rescue by firefighters. Lucky was swept away by the raging currents, and a woman called 911 to kickstart the rescue. That woman is now first in line to adopt the dog if an owner doesn’t appear soon.
