A Colorado family is singing the praises of the firefighters who worked tirelessly to rescue Bailey, a five-year-old Pit Bull from an abandoned mine shaft. Eric Storrs was running with Bailey through unfamiliar terrain when the dog ran over a ridge and simply disappeared. When he realized what happened, he called for help:
West Metro Fire crews responded in minutes and immediately started gearing up.
Two rescuers were lowered into the mine, where they were able to find Bailey and bring her back to safety.
