There was a special presentation for a four-legged hero on Tuesday afternoon in Tallahassee, Florida. Mayor John Marks awarded Sherman the guide dog the Medal of Valor, clipping it to the dog’s collar. Sherman rewarded the mayor with a kiss on the cheek.
In August, Sherman’s owner, Robert Miller was crossing an intersection, when he was clipped by a passing 18-wheeler. Acting quickly and decisively, Sherman pulled Miller to safety, potentially saving his life. Yet another hero dog gets his due. Way to go, Sherman!
