We post all the time about the dangers of leaving a dog in a hot car, and people often comment that they’d smash a window to save a dog in that situation. Which is exactly what Michael Hammons did in Athens, Georgia. For his efforts, Hammons was rewarded by. . .being arrested. The owner of the car claimed that the dog was stuck inside (on an 80-degree day) for “just five minutes). Isn’t it weird that the excuse is always the same?
