When people attending a music festival in Grand Bend, Ontario, discovered a dog trapped inside a hot car, one man decided to take matters into his own hands. In a video posted by Will Costa, you can see the still-unidentified man working hard to break the rear window of a black BMW, in which the dog was left on an 86-degree day:
“There was a music festival happening and the announcer mentioned there was a dog in a hot car and for the owner to let the dog out,” Costa told The Dodo.”No one came after a while so everyone got together to solve the issue. After the dog was rescued, the owners showed up 50 minutes later.”
I would have been amazed if the dog were able to survive so long on such a hot day. The anonymous window-breaker is surely a hero.

Good. The dog’s owner needs some time in jail.
These people need to sit in a hot car with windows closed for a period of time to see exactly what it’s like for a pet to be in the same situation. Period.
