Like most states, Missouri is home to a host of towns and cities that have breed-specific legislation that affects owners of Pit Bulls and similar dogs. But one state representative, Ron Hicks, aims to change that. He has introduced House Bill 1116, which would remove the “specific” part of the laws, holding all dogs to the same standard:
“We don’t want animals that are a danger to society out there of any kind, not just one specific kind.”
