Nancy Salyer’s quick thinking probably saved the life of her beloved dog, Stella, who had a bad reaction to heartworm medication. An intensive-care nurse, Salyer performed CPR on Stella for an hour, before they were able to get to a vet. Stella is now doing very well, after her scare.
