Video: Police Officers Rescue Two Dogs from Texas Freeway

It was a busy day on the road for dog-loving police officers in Fort Worth, Texas, yesterday. First, Officer James Shiderly used his police motorcycle to chase down a pup running loose in the fast lane of the freeway:

“One, I’m a dog lover. Two, if that’s somebody’s dog, I would hate to have to find that dog and say, ‘Hey, your dog’s dead on the freeway,’” explained Shiderly. “I know some people look at dogs as parts of the family.”

Shortly thereafter, another pup was struck by a car and then jumped off a bridge. Both police and fire personnel responded and brought the dog, nicknamed Bridget Rose, to a local vet, where she is recovering.
