The story of a very precocious dog in Seattle took over the Internet yesterday, but it has raised plenty of questions about whether this is such a good thing. Eclipse, a two-year-old Black Labrador, has been riding a city bus by herself as a way to get to the park. This is, of course, super cute and a great example of a dog’s intelligence and I would love to see her get on the bus and sit next to me. It’s all very Mayberry, U.S.A. But. . .Is it safe? Is it fair to bus riders who might be afraid of dogs? Or have allergies?
What do you think? Is it schoolmarmish to worry?
