Video: Water Therapy Helps Elderly Dog Walk Again

I’m sure that we all remember the touching story of Schoep, whose owner John Unger would cradle him in Lake Superior as a way to relieve the dog’s pain. The video above, from about the same time, shows a man using the same technique:

This is my Husky KaneTwo days ago his back legs stopped working. He’s very old, too old for surgery and he hurts. Unfortunately pain medication only helps so much.

The ending is just wonderful. Chances are that Kane has passed since this video was made, but his last days were clearly better thanks to the love and devotion of his owner.

  1. Hello! I’m working on a resource guide that details ways to plug in and help abandoned and neglected pets. Would you like this free guide for your site?

I’ll be sure to include resources for local volunteer agencies and spots to donate. For those interested in starting their own non-profit for helping animals, I’ll give some resources on how to go about doing that as well. The guide will also feature a link to your website.

Do you think this could serve your site visitors well? If so, please let me know and I’ll send it over as soon as it’s finished.

    Thanks in advance.
    Jessica
