Video: Wonderful Update on Fiona, the Little Blind Dog Rescued from a Trash Heap

The video of Fiona’s rescue, made by Eldad Hagar of Hope for Paws and featured in a post here last year, has now been viewed more than 2 million times. Something about the little dog’s plight and her transformation from struggling, blind stray to happy dog touched people around the world.

On Monday, Annie Hart of Bill Foundation, who should be no stranger to regular Dogs blog readers, posted a wonderful update on Fiona on Dog Heirs. You can see in the video above how her new life is going: she’s happy, healthy and loving. It’s a far cry from the terrified, ratty animal that Eldad encountered when he went to rescue her.

In the article, Hart also discusses how she met Eldad and what he has told her about his mission, his rise to prominence, and how he never envisioned he would be reaching so many people. It’s a fascinating read.

What a difference a year, and a loving home, make.
