It’s a heartbreaking photograph, but it displays a quality of dogs that we know and love. An Atlanta man snapped the picture of a Pit Bull standing over its injured companion, who had been hit by a car. Unfortunately, the injured dog could not be saved.
The hero dog’s protective stance and his beseeching gaze have captured the hearts of everyone who sees the image. Now the dog, who has been nicknamed Herman, is in need of a home. And who wouldn’t want a dog this loyal?
